Gaza Death Toll Surpasses 73,000 as Recovery Efforts Continue
The death toll in Gaza has surpassed 73,000 since October 2023, according to medical sources cited by Palestinian reports, while more than 173,000 people have been injured during the ongoing conflict.
Hospitals in the enclave reported receiving several new casualties in the past 24 hours, including five bodies and multiple injured individuals.
Since the latest ceasefire began in October last year, hundreds more Palestinians have been killed or injured, while many bodies continue to be recovered from under rubble and damaged areas across Gaza.
Emergency teams say a significant number of victims remain trapped beneath collapsed buildings, as rescue operations face severe challenges due to ongoing destruction and limited access to affected areas.
