The European Union has announced a $115 million aid package for Lebanon as the number of people displaced by the ongoing conflict continues to rise.

Officials say around 750,000 people have been forced from their homes, with many fleeing areas affected by airstrikes and fighting along the country’s southern regions. The displacement has placed increasing pressure on shelters, humanitarian services, and local infrastructure.

The new funding is expected to support emergency housing, food assistance, medical services, and humanitarian relief efforts for civilians affected by the conflict. EU representatives said the assistance aims to help both displaced Lebanese residents and communities hosting large numbers of people who have fled the violence.

Humanitarian organizations have warned that the situation could worsen if fighting continues, with more civilians at risk of being displaced in the coming weeks. International aid agencies are calling for sustained support to address the growing humanitarian crisis.
