US Central Command Continues Iran Naval Blockade, Intercepts Commercial Ships
US Central Command (CENTCOM) has confirmed that it will continue enforcing its naval blockade against Iran, saying it has taken action against multiple commercial vessels attempting to bypass the restrictions.
According to CENTCOM, US forces redirected 12 vessels, disabled two ships that failed to comply, and boarded two others during enforcement operations.
The US military also said it stopped a ship in the Strait of Hormuz after the crew allegedly attempted multiple times to violate the blockade and ignored repeated warnings.
The move comes amid heightened tensions between Washington and Tehran, with maritime security in the Gulf region facing increased risks.
