The United Arab Emirates said its air defenses intercepted multiple Iranian ballistic missiles and drones during attacks linked to the escalating regional conflict.
According to the UAE Ministry of Defence, several missiles and more than one hundred drones were launched toward the country in recent attack waves, with most intercepted before reaching their targets.
Officials said the air defense systems successfully neutralized the threats, preventing major damage. Some debris from intercepted projectiles reportedly landed in isolated areas. The attacks are part of a broader series of missile and drone launches carried out by Iran against Israel and several U.S. allies in the region.
Security has been heightened across the UAE, with authorities warning residents to remain alert while emphasizing that the country’s defense systems remain capable of responding to incoming threats. Analysts say the interceptions demonstrate the growing scale of the regional confrontation and the increasing role of missile defense systems in protecting key military and economic centers in the Gulf.
