Russia Threatens UK Military Targets Over Ukraine’s Use of British Storm Shadow Missiles

Russia has issued its strongest direct warning yet to Britain, saying it could target British military installations and equipment inside and outside Ukraine if Kyiv continues using UK-made long-range missiles against Russian territory.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said Britain could face “catastrophic consequences” and accused London of moving closer to legal involvement in what Moscow described as attacks against Russian civilians.

The warning followed Russian accusations that Ukraine used British-made Storm Shadow missiles to strike a shopping centre in the Russian-controlled city of Donetsk, reportedly injuring civilians, including children.

Moscow also criticised Britain’s decision to provide Ukraine with technology to produce Storm Shadow missiles domestically, while France has agreed to license similar technology.

The warning came as Russia launched another wave of missile and drone attacks across Ukraine. Ukrainian authorities said strikes hit ports, energy facilities, industrial sites and other infrastructure, with casualties reported in several cities.

Ukraine said its air defences intercepted numerous incoming missiles and drones. Russia confirmed strikes on industrial facilities, an oil refinery, logistics hubs and ports.

The latest developments have further raised tensions between Moscow and London, with Russia warning that continued use of British weapons against Russian territory could trigger direct retaliation.
