Lebanon Hospital Vows to Continue Work After Israeli Strike on Tyre Facility
Medical staff at Jabal Amel hospital in the Lebanese city of Tyre say they will continue their work despite severe damage caused by an Israeli air strike.
The strike, which hit the hospital a day earlier, caused extensive destruction, particularly in the intensive care unit. Hospital staff stressed that their mission remains unchanged despite the attack.
“Our duty was already to continue before the strike, and now it is even greater,” said Hussein Qassir, head of the intensive care unit.
Since the escalation of the Israel-Hezbollah conflict in early March, at least 17 hospitals in Lebanon have been damaged in Israeli strikes, along with the deaths of at least 128 medical workers and rescue personnel, according to reported figures.
