An internal system linked to Israeli spyware company Paragon Solutions was reportedly exposed online following a cybersecurity lapse, according to digital security researchers.
Investigators said portions of a control panel associated with the company’s surveillance software — known as “Graphite” — were briefly accessible on the open internet. The exposure was first identified by independent cybersecurity analysts, who notified the company before the system was secured.
Paragon develops advanced spyware tools marketed to government clients for law enforcement and national security purposes. The company has stated that its technology is sold only to vetted state entities and is intended for counterterrorism and criminal investigations.
The reported exposure has renewed scrutiny over the oversight and security of commercial surveillance technologies, which have faced growing criticism from privacy advocates and human rights groups in recent years. Paragon has not publicly disclosed whether any sensitive client data was compromised.
