An Israeli airstrike in the coastal area of Ramlet al-Bidda in Lebanon has reportedly killed seven people, according to local officials and medical sources.
The strike hit an area near the shoreline, causing damage to nearby buildings and sending emergency crews rushing to the scene. Rescue workers searched through debris and transported the injured to nearby hospitals.
Authorities said at least seven people were confirmed dead, while several others were wounded in the attack. Ramlet al-Bidda lies along Lebanon’s Mediterranean coast and is not far from central Beirut, raising concerns about the potential spread of violence beyond the country’s southern border regions.
The strike comes amid escalating hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah, with cross-border attacks continuing along Lebanon’s southern frontier. International organizations have warned that the growing violence is placing civilians at increasing risk as tensions in the region intensify.
