Iran Warns US Ahead of Netanyahu’s Washington Visit, Threatens Wider Regional Conflict
Iran has warned the United States that any further military attacks could lead to a wider regional conflict, as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu prepares to visit Washington.
Iranian officials said they have halted what they described as retaliatory operations in the Gulf for now. However, Army spokesman Mohammad Akraminia said the pause should not be seen as a sign of weakness, warning that continued US military action would force Iran to expand the conflict across the region.
The warning comes ahead of Netanyahu’s talks in Washington, where regional security and the ongoing confrontation involving Iran are expected to be high on the agenda. Tensions remain elevated as both Iran and the United States continue exchanging warnings over recent military developments.
