Hamas has claimed responsibility for a series of coordinated ambushes targeting what it described as Israeli-backed armed groups operating in parts of the Gaza Strip.

In statements released through its media channels, the group said its security forces carried out operations in Gaza City and Khan Younis, alleging that several members of rival armed factions were killed and weapons were seized.

Hamas accused the targeted groups of collaborating with Israeli forces during the ongoing conflict. The claims could not be independently verified, and Israeli officials have not publicly confirmed the incidents. Israel has previously accused Hamas of suppressing rival factions and consolidating control within Gaza amid the war.

The reports highlight ongoing internal tensions inside the enclave, where multiple armed groups operate alongside Hamas. Analysts say such clashes reflect the fragile and complex security landscape in Gaza, particularly as international mediators continue ceasefire negotiations and discussions over future governance.
