An airstrike in the southern Lebanese town of Tabnin has reportedly killed at least eight people, according to local officials and medical sources.
The strike hit a residential area in the town, which lies in the Bint Jbeil district near the Israeli border, an area that has seen repeated attacks during the ongoing escalation between Israel and Hezbollah.
Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene to search through damaged buildings and transport the injured to nearby hospitals. Authorities said several others were wounded in the strike. The incident comes amid continuing cross-border hostilities, with both sides exchanging strikes across southern Lebanon and northern Israel.
The growing violence has forced thousands of residents to leave their homes in southern Lebanon as fears rise that the conflict could expand further. International organizations have warned that civilians remain at significant risk as fighting continues in populated areas.
