RSF drone strike kills 9 civilians in North Darfur markets

At least nine civilians have been killed in North Darfur, Sudan, following drone strikes attributed to the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF), according to a Sudanese rights group.

Emergency Lawyers said RSF drones targeted the Um Bayada market in Malha locality, sparking a large fire that destroyed the market and caused extensive damage to civilian property.

The group also reported that a passenger vehicle was struck at Sabreen market, resulting in nine civilian deaths and several injuries. Officials warned that the death toll could rise due to continued attacks and difficult conditions on the ground.

The incidents add to growing concerns over repeated strikes on civilian areas in the ongoing conflict in Sudan.
