At least 16 people were killed in Israeli strikes on a town in eastern Lebanon as fighting between Israel and Hezbollah continues to intensify.

Lebanon’s health ministry said the attack targeted the town of Nabi Chit in the Bekaa Valley, an area where Hezbollah maintains a strong presence. Officials reported that dozens of people were also wounded in the strike.

The Israeli military has said it is targeting Hezbollah infrastructure and positions in Lebanon as part of its broader campaign against the group. Israel accuses Hezbollah of launching rockets and drones into Israeli territory from Lebanese areas.

The latest strike comes as cross-border hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah have increased in recent days, raising fears that the conflict could expand further inside Lebanon. Regional and international officials have warned that continued escalation risks widening the war across the Middle East.
